Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Bowie County Criminal History. Reading its material, using a search feature, or visiting any page signifies acceptance of all terms below. Do not continue to use the website if you disagree with them.

NO FCRA USE. Bowie County Criminal History is privately operated and has no connection to a local, Texas, or federal government body. This website and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource helps readers locate Bowie County, Texas criminal-record sources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site, not a government service. It does not hold official records, submit filings, retrieve certified documents, or perform an official background check for a visitor.

Its role is to identify custodians and access routes, including the Bowie County Sheriff's records channels, local criminal courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you will not:

  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or similar collection tools
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
  • Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor's access
  • Use information to stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass a person
  • Make a credit, insurance, housing, or employment decision from site content
  • Violate any applicable local, Texas, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information found here or through a linked tool to stalk, threaten, intimidate, discriminate against, or harass anyone. The restriction is especially important for Texas Public Sex Offender Registry data. Code of Criminal Procedure Article 62.005 makes misuse to injure, harass, or commit a crime against a registrant or family member an offense. Registry information serves public safety awareness, never vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertising partners are not presented as providers for regulated screening. Information from this website or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Make hiring, firing, or other employment choices
  • Evaluate a renter, applicant, or housing eligibility
  • Assess credit or establish an insurance rate
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

A legally regulated purpose requires an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider and any official process the applicable law demands. The ordinary public name search from the Texas DPS Crime Records Division is not represented here as a consumer report.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions are not legal advice. Only a licensed Texas lawyer can advise how a Bowie County charge, conviction, warrant, Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A expunction, or Government Code Chapter 411 nondisclosure route applies to a particular situation.

6. No Warranties

All content and functionality are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Information will always be complete, accurate, or current
  • Service will remain uninterrupted or continuously available
  • Pages will contain no defects, errors, or security vulnerabilities
  • A partner's search result will be accurate or comprehensive

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when a Texas court grants expunction or nondisclosure relief. Delays and omissions are possible. No statement here is an official declaration from the Bowie County courts, sheriff, or Texas DPS.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government offices, court portals, Texas agencies, legal-aid resources, and outside search providers. We do not control a destination's content, availability, pricing, privacy practices, or terms. Review its rules before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Bowie County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required before copying, distributing, adapting, or creating derivative material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the broadest extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from website use, including reliance on information obtained here or through a linked provider.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and legal proceedings caused by your use of the website or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the website must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in force. The affected language will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions
